Cooking Tips For the Exhausted — Who Doesn’t Need This Help?

by Alicia Lewis Murray on July 17, 2008

I found an interesting article about “Top 5: Cooking Tips for the Exhausted.” Ok, that headline should speak to all moms. I think the big message is to not worry so much about food all the time. If you can’t get a fully home cooked meal on the table every night, don’t let it get to you.

My favorite tip from the article is that frozen veggies are your friend. I don’t know about you, but getting to the store to buy (then cook!) fresh veggies is sometimes not a possibility. I stock a variety of frozen veggies for those occasions when I just can’t make fresh (which, admittedly, is more often than I’d like).

Another option for quick meals is to try one of the dinner preparation sites. I wrote a post recently about my experience at one of the Central Florida locations. Read it here.

I recently made it okay in my head to use frozen veggies, and my life has gotten a LOT simpler.

Great post!
