RE: Teachers and Texting...When the new school year started I went to the dark side when I found out my daughter needed to sign up to my teacher's Facebook site. Quick to judge, I thought, "Why are they needing to do that!!!" It turns out it wasn't her personal site, but a way for her to automate texts to the students about test reminders, homework updates and flash card type FCAT info -- things to help them learn. I think it's a great way to reach the teens where they tune in. Of course, the teacher needs to keep it professional, and it's a shame that there are some teachers in the system who only wanted a way to "stay" in high school when they got their teaching degrees!

I used to refer to you guys as the happy family. Now, I call you the busy family. Not that you are not happy, it's just that you are all, so, well, busy. Good post. Tired is an understatement.

"A house with two working parents is a tired house." Very, very right on. When I was working, it was chaos in the house. From early morning to late at night, everything was rush, rush. In the morning, it was get the kids up, breakfast, and everyone out the door on time. After work was dinner, kids' homeworks, and bedtime. It was really tiring. I don't work now so things are so much better because I have time to do things for my family. Two working parents is very tiring. Great post btw.
