‘A Good Hard Look’ Worth the Read

by Alicia Lewis Murray on September 1, 2011

It seems like forever since I’ve gotten to the end of a book. For some reason or another I lose interest. Not true with Ann Napolitano’s “A Good Hard Look.”

This book is engaging and enjoyable. Plus, it’s written in a style that makes it a quick read. I think I finished the entire book in about 4 days. This book is multifacated and will make you think about your own life and you’ll want to talk to others about the character’s and their choices.

You can read more about it in my review over at BlogHer books.

I find that NPR generally reviews books that are really satisfying to read and get to the end of. Satisfying to me means a good book. They are often substantial and thought-provoking and interesting…

I’ll need to check out NPR’s reviews more often. I’m always struggling with which books to give my time to. Thanks for the tip!

Alicia – I looked this book up, like you suggested, and it looked interesting to me. I requested it from the library in the hopes that Book Club will agree to read it. If not, I plan to read it on my own.

Melanie … glad you are getting the book. It’ll give me someone to talk to about it! I enjoyed it. It’s a quick read too.
