Oh my gosh, you guys! Can you even believe this headline: maple bacon cinnamon rolls!!! Yes! Yes! Yes! And, I’m here to say they are as good as they sound. What could possibly make a cinnamon roll better than adding maple frosting and bacon? Having these maple bacon cinnamon rolls in your tummy in less than 30 minutes – that’s what!
I was making a list of fall recipes I wanted to make and was reminded of my easiest ever cinnamon donut holes. They use a prepackaged dough and so I realized that I could make these bacon cinnamon rolls with a can of cinnamon rolls to make life easier! Just doctor them up. No one will know you didn’t spend hours in the kitchen making them.
Another favorite that uses canned dough is our churros recipe. We make it easy and the baked flavor with cinnamon-sugar is another winner.

Maple Bacon Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredient list is simple: canned cinnamon rolls (I used the large rolls), bacon (lean), then for the frosting you’ll need powdered sugar, butter, milk or cream, and maple extract.
Lay the bacon out. I used a thicker cut, lean bacon and trimmed off the fat.
Open up a cinnamon roll and lay flat on your counter, then take a piece of bacon and place on top. My rolls needed two slices of bacon, end to end, for each roll.
Take one end of the cinnamon roll, now topped with bacon and roll it back up!
Keep rolling.
Roll, roll ….
roll…
It will look like this! Viola! One complete rolls with bacon. It doesn’t look that appetizing like this, but trust me, in a few minutes it’s going to be amazing! Just pop this one into a baking dish (I used a glass pie pan like this) and roll and add the others.
While the bacon cinnamon rolls are baking, whisk up the frosting. Just mix the powdered sugar, butter, and maple extract until it’s smooth. Take a taste – you’re going to love it!
Here are the bacon cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven, just waiting that maple frosting. Let them cool a minute, then pour on about 1/4 of the frosting letting it drip all around the sides and into the cracks and crevices of the rolls. Let cool completely and then pour on the remaining frosting.
And here you have maple bacon cinnamon rolls. You better eat one fast, before everyone else takes one.
Look at that maple frosting puddled in the middle!
These are SO good! Enjoy!

I’m concerned about the bacon. Is it fully cooked being inside the cinnamon roll?
Diane says
Does sound good but I’m worried the bacon will not be fully cooked.
Alicia says
The bacon has enough time to cook. If you like crispy bacon, then this recipe isn’t for you.
