‘The Easter Bunny’s Assistant’ is Quite the Stinker

I received an Easter book, “The Easter Bunny’s Assistant,” by Jan Thomas a couple weeks back that is making the rounds at my house. It’s targeted for 2-5 year-olds, but my 6-year-old LOVES this book. He cracks up every single time he reads it. And he’ll read it to anyone who will listen.

My mother was visiting recently, helping out while my husband was out of town, and my son read the book to her several times. We all laughed each time, never tiring of the antics of the two characters, bunny and skunk. My two-year-old laughs mainly because the rest of us are laughing.

Told in short sentences, this book is a quick read with vibrant, simple illustrations. The skunk does what skunks do so it’s a good thing this book isn’t scratch and sniff. It’s an enjoyable story about two friends trying to work together to solve a stinky problem.

If laughter is what you are looking for, give this one a try.
